About Us

The Laboratory of Energy & Environmental Economics and Policy (LEEEP) at the College of Environmental Sciences and Engineering, Peking University, focuses on economic and policy analysis linked to global climate change, specifically on key issues such as green transition to a low-carbon economy and the technological measures and cost-benefit tradeoff associated with the transition. We developed a suite of IMED (Integrated Model of Energy, Environment, and Economy for Sustainable Development) models and databases that enable comprehensive evaluation of the energy-environment-health-economy systems, allowing for decision making and climate policies formulation at the provincial, national, and global levels. We warmly welcome collaboration from colleagues who would like to join us in using IMED to contribute towards China’s and the world’s efforts in combating climate change.
